My mysteries abound with interesting characters and facts, and contain a lesser amount of violence, bloodshed, and the sometimes overwhelming darker side of our nature. They are not quite 'cozies', but if you're looking for horrific descriptions of blood, gore, and depravity, you won't find them here. The protagonists are often more seasoned women who either have, or seek knowledge and peace. The most powerful weapons they carry (except for the detectives) are good sense and humor. This allows you to read without gritted teeth or a knotted stomach.
